AI ASSISTANT

Stay on top of every meeting with the Decisions AI Assistant in Microsoft Teams

Ask the assistant in your own words to brief you on your next meeting, recap the last one, schedule what comes next, or draft the agenda, so you walk in prepared and nothing slips.

WHAT CHANGES

From piecing together the context to simply asking

Agendas, recaps, outcomes, and follow-up live in different places. The assistant brings them together so you can get up to speed, find what happened, and move the next meeting forward without doing the legwork yourself.

Today, without the AI Assistant

  • Meeting context is spread across calendars, chats, recaps, and records, so getting ready means finding and piecing it together
  • After a meeting, you still track down what was decided, what changed, and what needs your attention
  • Keeping the next meeting moving means another round of calendars, invites, and agenda prep

With the AI Assistant

  • The context is brought together from your calendar and meeting records, so you get up to speed by asking instead of searching
  • The assistant brings back the recap, minutes, decisions, and follow-up already connected to the meeting, so you move from what happened to what's next
  • Scheduling and prep become one conversation: check availability, create the meeting, and draft the next agenda from the last recap

Bottom line: Staying on top of every meeting stops being one more thing you have to remember.

HOW IT WORKS

Ask for what you need.
The assistant takes it from there.

Message the assistant in Teams or Outlook and it finds the meeting, drafts the agenda, or books the next one, confirming with you before anything changes.
  1. Find it where you already work

Message it directly in Teams or Outlook, mention @decisions inside a meeting's chat, or open it in the Decisions app. It arrives already connected to your calendar and meeting records, ready for your first question.

  2. Ask in plain language

No commands or menus to learn. Just ask, in your own words, in whatever language you work in: "How does my week look?"

  3. Let the assistant handle the next step

Ask about a past meeting and it brings back what was decided. Ask to schedule a meeting or draft an agenda and it does the work, asking for access when needed and confirming before anything changes.

  4. Get briefed before and after

Ask for a brief before a meeting, with what it's about and what's still open, and for your action items after it. With AI Automations, both arrive on their own, timed to your calendar.

HOW IT'S BUILT

Built into the way your meetings already work

Answers from across your meetings, in one place

It draws on the agendas, recaps, decisions, and tasks your team keeps in Decisions, and on your Microsoft 365 calendar. One question replaces a search through each, and if you open it from a meeting, it already knows which one you mean.

Built for your meetings, and clear about the rest

It answers from your meetings, your calendar and the Decisions help center. Ask it something outside that and it says so, rather than guessing.

It does the legwork, not just the lookup

It's part of Decisions, so it works in the same agendas, minutes, and calendar you do. That means it books the meeting and a room, drafts the agenda from the last recap, and writes up the minutes.

Secure by design

It works within your existing Microsoft 365 permissions, asks for access one capability at a time, and confirms every change before making it. Nothing joins your calls, and transcripts are never indexed. AI processing is stateless: prompts and answers aren't retained by Decisions or Azure OpenAI, and no one at Decisions sees your data.

WHO IT'S FOR

Made for anyone whose week is shaped by meetings

The busier your calendar, the more the assistant takes off your plate, from prep before a meeting to follow-up after.

Leaders in back-to-back meetings

Walk in prepared without spending the time, and leave with the follow-up already handled. Ask for a brief before and your action items after, or let AI Automations send both on their own.

Organizers who run recurring meetings

The scheduling, the agenda drafted from the last recap, and the minutes that always land on you become one sentence each. Ask, and the assistant does the rest.

Teams working across languages

Ask in your own language and get the answer back in it. The assistant also translates a meeting's recap or minutes on request.

Anyone who missed a meeting

Ask what happened in the meeting's own chat, and get the recap and decisions back. You're caught up in seconds, right where the context already is.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Frequently asked questions about the AI Assistant

The Decisions AI Assistant is an AI meeting assistant you chat with in Microsoft Teams and Outlook. It answers questions about your meetings and does the legwork around them: briefing you on a meeting, finding a past one, scheduling the next one, drafting an agenda, or pulling up a decision. It's part of Decisions AI, alongside AI features such as AI Recap and AI Minutes, and AI Automations, which send briefs before and after your meetings.
No. Nothing joins your call, and no attendee list ever changes. The assistant is a conversation over the meeting records your team already keeps, in a chat in Teams or Outlook.
It finds the meeting, not the words inside it. Describe the meeting you mean, and you get its recap or minutes, when the team has them. Transcripts aren't searched or indexed; they stay in Microsoft 365.
It checks when named people are free and books the meeting. It doesn't schedule for a team by name, but you can point it at an existing invite and ask when those attendees are free.
It confirms with you before it changes anything, and it never cancels a meeting. If you ask it to, it opens the Outlook invite for you instead, so canceling stays a human decision.
No. Every result follows your own Microsoft 365 permissions, so nothing comes back that you couldn't already open. The first time a capability needs new access, it shows a consent card and asks.
They're all part of Decisions AI. AI features, such as AI Recap and AI Minutes, create a meeting's recap or minutes when you ask. AI Automations run on their own, like the briefs that arrive before and after your meetings. The AI Assistant is the part you talk to: ask in your own words, and it finds what you need or does the work for you.
The assistant is part of Decisions. Add Decisions from the Microsoft Teams store and have your administrator turn on Decisions AI for your organization. From then on, anyone in your organization can open the assistant and ask about their meetings, schedule the next one, or draft an agenda. There's nothing further to set up. See the pricing page for plan details.
