WHAT CHANGES

One view of every decision, across every team

The people who need to follow decisions and meetings across the organization get one read-only view, instead of being added everywhere or chasing updates over email.

Today, following work in other teams

  • No single place shows the full picture: decisions and meeting activity sit scattered across teams you're not in
  • Staying current means chasing minutes, waiting on summaries, and reassembling decisions from forwarded email
  • The only way in is joining each team, which floods you with daily activity and more access than the role needs

With Advanced Reporting

  • One read-only view brings decisions and meeting activity from every shared team into one place
  • What's decided and what's still open stay side by side and current, with nothing to chase or piece together
  • Access comes with reporting, not membership: teams share on their own terms, and readers can only read, never edit

Bottom line: Advanced Reporting separates needing to know from being a member. The teams keep working as they do, and the people who need the overview get it in one place, as readers.

HOW IT WORKS

How Advanced Reporting works

Set up by your organization's admins, switched on team by team with each team's consent, and shaped by each person to the teams they follow. From there, one place for the overview:
1

Choose who it is for

Your organization's admins set up Advanced Reporting in the admin portal and decide who has access.

2

Teams confirm sharing

Each team that should be visible gets a share request, and a team admin confirms it. Only then does that team's content appear.

3

Follow decisions and meetings

Work in two views: the decisions made across shared teams and the meetings behind them. Open agendas, minutes, and decisions with full context.

4

Make it theirs

Filters and saved views keep the focus on the teams and timeframes each person follows.

HOW IT'S BUILT

Built to turn many teams into one clear view

One view across every shared team

Decisions and meeting activity from the teams that matter, in one place: what was decided, by whom, and the agendas and minutes behind it.

What's open, as clear as what's done

Meetings without minutes and decisions not yet made are visible too, so you can see where things stand without chasing anyone for a status update.

Read-only by design

People with reporting access can follow everything shared, but never edit, approve, or interfere with how a team works.

Sharing is a choice, seeing is honest

No team is shared by default. A team admin confirms each share request, and reporting users see all of what is shared, with no partial visibility to reason about.

Filter, save, and export

Filter by team, date, decision status, keyword, tags, and minutes, save the views you return to, and export the current view to Excel when the overview needs to travel.

Secure by where it lives

Everything stays inside your own Microsoft 365 tenant. No third-party bots, nothing leaves your tenant. SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified.

WHO IT'S FOR

For organizations where responsibility spans teams

The time saved lands on every side: the people who needed the insight stop chasing it, the teams stop being chased for it, and the people acting on it simply have it.

Governance and oversight

Committees and decision-making bodies followed centrally, with the full record available the moment it is needed.

Leadership and management

Insight from the teams below and beside them, decisions, progress, and gaps, without joining each team.

Boards and committees, aligned

Boards, committees, and teams followed in one place, on the same terms, instead of scattered across inboxes.

Audit and controllers

Track and export decision records across departments and units, without waiting on each team to send them.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Common questions about Advanced Reporting

Advanced Reporting is a premium, read-only view that brings decisions and meeting activity from across your teams into one place. What you see doesn't depend on the teams you're a member of: the access comes with Advanced Reporting itself, and covers only the teams that have chosen to share. You can follow decisions, meetings, agendas, and minutes, but never edit, approve, or act inside a team.
No. No team is shared by default. Every team that should appear gets a share request, and a team admin has to confirm it. Your organization's admins decide who has reporting access and which teams are invited to share, all from the admin portal.
Team membership and Advanced Search both depend on the teams you belong to. Advanced Reporting doesn't. It gives read-only oversight of decisions and meeting activity across the teams that choose to share, whether or not you're a member.
Inside your Microsoft 365 tenant. Decisions is M365-native: no third-party bots join your calls, and your data never leaves your tenant. It's SOC 2 Type II and ISO 27001:2022 certified.
