The Challenge: Creating a Consistent, Repeatable Meeting Process

BDO Norway was looking for a better way to manage executive meetings — particularly for their Board of Directors and leadership teams. The need was clear: organize agendas, distribute materials in advance, and create a standardized, repeatable meeting process.

While the firm originally attempted to address this internally, the solutions never gained momentum or delivered the level of structure required for high-quality meetings.

"Then I stumbled upon Decisions," explains Brodtkorb. "We tried it out and found it to match our needs."

BDO Norway explored internal meeting tools, but none of them caught on. Brodtkorb recalls:

The Solution: Structured Agendas & Meeting Flow

What began with a few licenses for board-level use soon grew into something much larger — Decisions was adopted across executive teams, service lines and geographic regions. "It started to be an intrinsic part of the organization," says Brodtkorb.

Decisions gave BDO Norway’s teams a clear way to prepare for meetings and follow a consistent rhythm. Meeting agendas were more structured, and it became the norm to distribute meeting documentation days in advance.

Brodtkorb notes that even individual contributors began using Decisions for their 1-on-1 meetings. "It’s not just something that has been pushed from the top, which is a good sign."

The Impact: Better Meetings & Stronger Compliance

Brodtkorb is clear on the impact: "The value is in the process — agenda building, documentation delivery, and getting people ready before the meeting," he says. "Getting that kind of regimen is raising meeting quality, for sure."

Another key benefit? Regulatory readiness. "Decisions simplifies the documentation process when we need to demonstrate compliance related to regulatory demands and accreditations," explains Brodtkorb.

A Meeting Solution Built for Professional Services

Who does Brodtkorb recommend Decisions for? "Any professional service industry or firm with executive meetings, group meetings or regular meetings. It would be relevant for any business of some size, really."

For BDO Norway, Decisions continues to be the backbone of their meeting process — the firm has 500 licenses today.

"I can’t see any other tool doing what Decisions does at this time," Brodtkorb says. "And we haven’t bothered looking around — because it works."
